Royal Canin® Veterinary Diet Renal Dry Dog Food is an easy to digest, savory meal designed to help dogs with kidney disease.
100% complete and balanced nutrition
Formulated to support renal function in case of chronic kidney disease. Contains EPA and DHA, a complex of antioxidants and a low phosphorus level.
Chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. Formulated with alkalinizing agents.
Inadequate renal workload may induce ureamic crisis. An adapted content of high quality protein helps reduce renal workload.
A specific aromatic profile allows for differences in individual preference because dogs with CKD are more likely to develop inappetence or food aversion.
Has a savory crescent shaped kibble to ensure exceptional palatability.
Recommendations – It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed RENAL for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency . For cases of temporary renal insufficiency a period of 2 to 4 weeks feeding is recommended.

It is recommended that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily.
Remember, when changing your dog’s food or diet allow 7 – 10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more of the new until you are feeding the new food exclusively. This gradual transition is important and will help to avoid any dietary upsets.
Always provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
